I've found the first thing I don't like about WLS

Still very well. Still not mentally right though. I have to get it into my head that I am no Chris Hoy when it comes to fitness. These people have been training all their lives, me, less than 3 years. I tortured myself with the scales last year and still ended up being 'obese'. I just wanted to...

Do i have problems or is this normal??

It's very easy to get hung up over size. It's something you're going to have to try and come to terms with as I am still the same nearly 3 years after surgery. I still think I'm big. Well, I am compared to a lot of people. But very very fitter than what I was. Clothes sizes do differ. Some...

    Considering the sleeve

Internet forums are fantastic areas for support and information, but one thing I have found is the inconsistencys between information given out. I do a monthly presentation in Sheffield to all the new pre-oppers in that area and I remember the time before last there was one woman, who had come...

    Considering the sleeve

Hello all, ltns. I'm over 2 years after a sleeve op. At my lightest, 15st, I had lost 16st 12lb. I lost 15 stone in 13 months, but I worked hard for it. Just like any of the 3 main operations, you only get good results if you follow the advice. Yes you can dump with the sleeve, I did on...

Best and worst bits if Gastric Sleeve

Like any wound, internal or external, the staples are there just to hold the flesh/skin together while it heals fully itself.

    Does everyone get exces skin?

What I always tell people at the presentations is that my excess skin is only where my loved ones will see it. They would sooner have me around with a bit of excess skin than not around at all. These are my pics after losing 16 stone.

Gastric Sleeve Glasgow to Edinburgh Pedal for Scotland

I rode with a friend at the weekend who wanted encouragement and support to ride the 'PEdal for Scotland' ride from Glasgow to Edinburgh. Was a good 48 mile ride, she'd only ever cycled 16 before, but I'm pleased to say she completed it and feels great, if a little sore. We took nearly 5...
