    May 2014 Surgeries

I'm a sleever so I didn't dump. But it was a treat! I do add light mature cheddar finely grated to things for added protein. Need to get some mozerella as that's supposed to be the highest protein cheese. I've never been a lover of cheese. I can take it or leave it. But I'm (probably too...

    May 2014 Surgeries

I find I'm finding it easier to eat my protein now I'm on the soft stage. However because I can't eat much I tend to just eat protein rich food. So like yesterday I had weetabix for brekkie, a Camembert burger (breaded Camembert - lush!) for lunch (in 2 sittings) and a fillet of salmon for...

    Deciedion made Gastric sleeve help

Hi, I'm 4 weeks post op (sleeve). I went private because I couldn't be doing with all hoops you have to jump through on the NHS. I got made redundant and thought sod it! I'm just going to go for it. I had my sleeve done at Kings College Hospital in London. Mr Patel was such a lovely guy, and...

I'm kinda the same. I feel so rough when I eat, and it's such an effort, that sometimes I don't bother. Then I have to remind myself I have to eat to lose, and I have to get my protein up!

    May 2014 Surgeries

Hello my lovely May Oppers! I must confess to being a bit dispondant. I'm 4 weeks out today. My weight loss is not coming off (only lost 1 stone 10lbs since the day before I went in). Haven't lost in over a week. Haven't dropped any dress sizes or lost any inches. Please tell me I haven't...

    May 2014 Surgeries

I've lost exactly 2 stone. I'm still in a bit of pain. I think it's my internal stitches that are pulling everytime I move! Seeing my surgeon tomorrow, to make sure everything is ok.

    May 2014 Surgeries

Hi guys. Sorry I have been AWOL, I've been laid up a bit. I've had a bad infection and it seems my internal stitches are being a *****. Every time I move, poo, cough , sneeze or sit. It hurts. Car journeys are a problem, I went to my mother in laws today, and had to have the chair laid flat! I...

I am being looked into by GP, I just hope it is just a UTI. Pain has moved now also toThe front. So not looking good for an easy fix. Fingers...

    May 2014 Surgeries

Having to take a trip to the GP today. Surgeon thinks I have a UTI. (I hope it's that). I've had some sharp pains in my kidney, and now if I sit up it feels like it's squashed and hurts, so I have to stand up or lay down. He said he doesn't think it's sleeve related as that is more abdominal...

How much does a gastric bypass cost private

How about a sleeve. Statistics on weight loss are very close to bypass, and no/little nutrient deficiency. It costs less as well. I paid £7500 for a sleeve. It's more than a band, but less than a bypass. I wouldn't have a band. Seems to be a lot of longer term issues coming out (with slippage)...
