    I still love food

Hi Bex, Welcome to the losers bench. I was exactly the same. However, over a year out I still have no regrets. I'm able to eat the same meals I cook for the rest of the family, only a smaller amount. I found the liquid stage hard as I loved the feel of food in my mouth and the chewing...

    First week of Excercise

Keep up the good work Karen. Have you done your measurements so that you can see how many inches/cms you've lost? Even when I didn't lose weight for months I lost inches and went down dress sizes due to exercise.

    Brian's Diary

Hope all goes well for you both Brian and Starr. I had the high protein liver reducing diet. If I'd had the choice I would have gone for the milk one as I found restricting the amount of food hard. No problems there now though.

Hi Denise, I'm almost a year following my bypass. I have had no problems with my gums or teeth. I did have some thinning of the hair which appears to be resolved now. I do notice that my mouth gets very dry if I don't keep my fluids up though.

    my nurse scrubs

Hi, isn't it great when clothes start to be too loose? Wait until you buy that first piece of clothing from a 'normal' shop. I'm afraid I couldn't see the picture of you in your scrubs, I could only find your pre-op pictures which showed a stunning person. Wonder what you'll be like when...
