Been one year today since my bypass. I was admitted 02/10/10 but had my op 03/10/10. Its been a long journey for me & I haven't done as well as I'd hoped. But I'm still 6 stone lighter. With another 5 stone to go. Does any of our experienced bypassers have any tips/help/advice? Thanks:)

I've been told its due to lack of calcium.

They used to but have a new appointment system where you can book up to a month ahead so no longer offer emergency appointments. Her advice was to go to the drop in centre!! I can hardly walk never mind drive to drop-in, everyone's at work so got no one to take me :rolleyes:

:wave_cry: Anyone suffered with this post op? I suffered pre-op but after my bypass 02/10/10, I've not suffered with it until now. To say I'm in agony is an understatement!! My mebeverine/colofac don't seem to be working & I can't get appointment with my GP!! HELP :cry:

I had one of my appointments at Monkwearmouth hospital & another one at Ryhope hospital.

Chris I had same from the wound between my boobs, it was stopping it from healing so I trimmed it down with little pair of scissors (I'M NOT SAYING YOU SHOULD DO THIS). Eventually it came away in bath & the wound healed up. My friend at work was just telling me today that she had to do same...

I felt like that on the milk diet but didn't actually get flu etc. I was terrified they'd postpone my bypass but they didn't. Good luck :-)

Oooohh!! What tablets are you taking? I need some now! Ha, ha I've a new team manager & he was my manager a few years ago, although he is great on a personal level, I just feel I need to explain about my op etc. all over again :rolleyes: cos no one really understands unless they been thru it...
