I was having similar symptons, however the pain was in my right shoulder, going all the down my back and under my rib cage.
After a scan it turned out to be Gall Stones, and I have to have my Gall Bladder removed. Definatley get to the docs to get it checked out.
Sounds like Gall Stones to me. I had very similar symptoms and had my gall bladder out. Had over 30 stones in there. Funny thing is I still get attacks as if the gall baldder is still there - its actually quite common ????
Hope you get it sorted x
I can eat pizza - just not a whole one anymore, a couple of slices and Im done. And Im afraid if you have been very fat for a very long time, there is nothing you can physically do to prevent the baggy skin, no matter how much exercise you do or water you drink.
I don't think my brain will ever catch up. Im 4 years post op and still struggle. Only last weekend I didn't sit in a chair with arms just in case I didn't fit !!!!!!!
Exercise played no part in my weight loss, never did and never has. Im quite an active person because I have a 4 year old, that was all the exercise I needed !
Some would say exercise will help with the skin issues you may have after the weight loss, but depending on your age, and how much...
I totally agree with your decision, I was once involved with a programme on Tv and pulled out after one week, it was horrendous. I was also asked to go on GMTV and The Trisha show and declined them too.
These shows bring unwanted, nasty publicity and in my eyes ridicule the overweight, even...
I find compliments very hard to deal with, I always think people are being sarcastic. Also I still tend to put myself down and explain that yeah I might look ok on the exterior but you wanna see the state of my flappy ugly excess skin. Why do I do this I don't know ??????
I had my op done private at the Chelsfield with Mr El Hasani in Nov 2009.
On the day of my op I was asked to shower and wash my hair and tie it back if long.
On arrival I was escorted to a room, that joined to another by a door. I had to put on a gown, paper knickers and support stockings...
Hi Shellbell
I've been diagnosed with raynaud disease and now they think I too have fibromyalgia. My bypass was in Nov 2009.
It seems that these things are really common in bypass patients, is it because of our lack of vitamins ?
I must admit I don't and never have taken mine religiously...
Be warned some GP's will not prescribe your vitamins, mine being one of them. He gives me my B12 injection every 3 months, but the others (Forceval, Calici Chew etc.) he refused. I have to buy them off the internet !!!!!
Gall stones are agony, I had my gall bladder removed last year. The pain is on your right side just under your boob. The pain can travel up and over your shoulder and down your back. My attacks sometimes lasted 2-3 hours.
I find heat helps, use a hot water bottle or one of those heat bags in...
Firstly, well done on your weight loss.
Im nearly 3 years post op now and can basically eat anything, just in smaller portions than others.
I rarely dump now, but did have an episode the other day after a cappuccinno and a muffin, my own fault really, should know better.
You will find as...
It does get better, just takes time and patience. Don't rush yourself and remember your still healing.
Im nearly 3 years post op and still dump from time to time. I can eat most foods now just small portions. Also I can now have treats, i.e. chocolate, cake and crisps, its great I feel like a...
I had to have my gall bladder removed, around a year ago. My excess skin caused problems and I had severe blood loss during the op.
Post op I had no problems and It didn't really affect my weight.
Strangely though I sometimes still get pain in the same place as where my gall bladder was, my...
