At sunderland they don't check you for smoking although they will ask at your pre-op assessment it's really best for your healing if you stop as smoking slows down the healing process

At my hospital it's always 10 days, at some hospitals it's longer but if your hospital is generally just doing it to shrink the liver I doubt it will be for longer than two weeks
