Big hugs Witchinworthing :) ..
I do understand how frustrating it is as i have been throught the St Georges Waiting system and it gets frustrating as you see everyone going in quicker at other hospitals.
Hang on in there, your time will come and it is
definately worth the wait ..
All the...

Hi Dawn
Unfortunately NHS route in some areas is a long and bumpy route. It took me over a year to get funding from PCT, having been refused once and having to see a dietician for a while. ..
My BMI a little more than yours and not any co-morbs but had depression, bad back, bad knees...
Hi Vanessa
AM sorry to hear of your bad experience. ..
I suppose it is a lesson for us all that whatever operation we have have, it is only a tool and we need to get our head around our eating behaviours ..
Take care Vanessa
Hope you manage to get your wrap working for you

I had a non adjustable balloon for 6 months lost 3.5 stone.. I could feel balloon in me for about 3 weeks then it settled down. My advise is drink plenty of water inbetween meals so you dont get dehydrated and it also helps to float...

Hi KirstyJade:)
I can advise you on some of balloon questions.
I would not advise to go and get balloon abroad as the longest it stays is a year, and i do believe with spatz balloon it gets filled so you would need somewhere near to you.
I had a balloon but mine was to help lose weight before...
It depends on the hospital i went to a group meeting to give us information on what surgery was available within the 18 weeks from referral from doctor.. But was over 2 years until i had surgery. But that was a London Hospital, hopefully
you wont have to wait that long at yours.

Hi Tiili :)
Having CBT/counselling was the best thing i did. I had counselling before and after my balloon, right upto after i had my bypass. (about 2 years in all)
It helped me deal with all the negatives feelings i was having and move on with my life. I can honestly say having the bypass...
Hi H12 :)
Big hugs ..
Its perfectly normal to feel emotional before operation, it is such a big thing to go through.
Good luck with the pre op diet
