Gastric Bypass - Weightgain - UPDATE

Bless you all for your replies, its nice to know that people are willing to listen. All my surgeon ever says is that the surgery was done correctly and my pouch is the size of his thumb. I also posted my story on the American version of this WL forum and have just had a reply from the Doctor...

Gastric Bypass - Weightgain - UPDATE

Thanks Suzie, From what I have gathered so far, once you have gone down the road of going Privately, you cannot then be referred to the NHS but I will of course ask my GP.

    Steroid cortisone injections

I have had the injection in my finger and have to say, like with any injection, there is discomfort but its soon over with. The results last on average of 6 months and as far as I know, only a steroid taken orally can cause some weight gain. Good luck to you and I hope you get some relief soon.

You have all been so wonderful, thank you to everyone that has read my thread and taken the time to reply. I saw my consultant today as planned and I must say he was calm and patient. I felt nervous but said what I planned to. He asked me to be honest and state exactly what I ate in a day...

    RNY - Weight Gain

I havent posted for a very long time but even in the early days of my surgery my posts always had the same theme to them. In a nut shell, I had my Bypass 7/4/11 and pre op lost exactly 2 stone. Post Op, I then went on to lose another 3 stone by July. My issue was that I never felt I had...

Hi Tatiana, Its about £25 for a large bottle but use use very little. To be really honest with you, although I am using it - I dont really know what its doing!!! It makes me feel better though so I will keep on with it. If you Google it, you will see where you can get online. But if you...

    hair loss

To be honest with you, it is said that there is sufficient selenium in Brazil nuts that you dont need to take supplements. It sounds like you are doing so well. I'm sure it will stop but ask your GP if its getting out of hand.

    hair loss

I think its like the question, how long is a piece of string. !! Mine started with a vengeance at about 5/6 months. Its now about 7 months and it has definitely slowed. I think its just so shocking when such large clumps of hair are visible on the shower floor. It was also necessary to vac...

15 months out from bypass and still need advice

Thank you for your post and I really admire your strength and perseverance. I wish I could conquer my issues with food but how is that done? I paid for my surgery and feel that I have let myself down and wasted a large amount of money. My surgery never left me feeling any different. I have...

    Downward spiral!

I don't know if its worth considering but I am going to give Hypnotherapy a try. Lets face it, it doesn't matter where the hunger is felt - whether it be in your tummy or in your head, the end result of hunger is to eat. Best of luck to you. x

    Downward spiral!

The problem is Denise, some WLS patients never dump. I have never and I am unfortunate in that my surgery never left me feeling any different. I can eat and drink anything and in quantities equal to non WLS people. The only thing that ever happens is if I eat or drink too quickly and I will...

    Downward spiral!

Thank you so much for admitting what so many will not.......despite all good intentions, for a large number of us, we cannot maintain the WLS regime and we start to fall back into old ways and the slow gain starts to happen. As of today, its my intention to start on liquids only for a week...

    Em's Tummy Tuck Pics

Hi Em I agree with many other comments that your tummy is looking really good but you state "Front View Of Me Now. Notice The Area Needing Correction On My Left Side... And The Fact They've Cut My Tattoo In Half! Obviously you are unhappy with the result and my observation (totally untrained...
