it is a closed group (not private as I stated earlier) so although non members can't see posts they can find out who are members and the name of the group kind of gives the game away if you are trying to keep your surgery private.
You're not cursed it's just that when someone else is making all the decisions (especially someone we don't know and trust and about as something as important as your WLS) it maks you feel helpless.
I have my pre-op appointments for 8th Feb and 14th feb. I was also told to start the pre-op...
Hi Sophie,
not too sure if you have been onto the Hearltlands group on facebook recently but a couple of hours ago Heather posted that Mr. Kumar has emigrated to/or is about to emigrate to New Zealand. This may (or may not) have any bearing on the lists at Heartlands.
wow! Only 10 days. I havn't done anything about it over the holiday period but I shall phone Walsall Manor and tell what I have decided. I am leaning towards changing to Little Aston just want to confirm with them current waiting times (as it it a private hospital I doubt it will be long but I...

I am with BEN pct and my GP referred me directly to Walsall Manor despite Heartlands also offering bariatric surgery.
Awww hun try not to let you get it down it may just be an age thing.
As a student I worked in a daycentre for the elderly and discussing the weight of the staff was a daily activity for the service-users.
Hi all,
I forgot to ask this question at my initial consultations (but will definately ask my surgeon when my time comes). How much of your small intestine was bypassed? Did you as the patient have any input in this? Is it dependant on BMI? Is it the more that is bypassed the greater the...
