I do hope it helps everyone giving it a go. I know we all like to see where we are in numbers but try not to let it rule your life. I'm now 7 months and 2 days post op and my health is sooooo much better. Best of luck to everyone xxxxxx
Miss tickle I'm so proud of you. It is difficult at first but I promise it will get easier and soon you'll be feeling better in yourself and not relying on a number to determine how you feel. Keep up the good work everyone and don't forget to report your losses. Hugs and high 5's all round xxxx
Right, I've got a plan and I'm shouting about it lol. I mentioned to one of my sleeve pals that a 2 week break from the scales might do her the world of good and I got a great response.
There for, I challenge everyone to stop worrying about the numbers and concentrate on the way they feel...
Jen, don't panic. I lost every other week and the weeks in between I maintained but lost inches. I'm now 14 weeks out and have gone from a size 24 to a 16..! All is good princess and as long as you know you're doing everything right then you have nothing to worry about. Plus 3 to 4 weeks isn't a...
Everyone is different when it comes to time lines. All I can suggest is that after 4 or 5 weeks you test yourself. Don't go mental and be careful but see what works and what doesn't. You may find that your taste bud's will change in this liquid puree stage as I used to love certain stuff and...
Paahaha, everyone has their own definition of all these surgeries. No one I know knew what a sleeve gastrectomy was, I drew more diagrams of my innards than van gough drew flowers lol... xxx
Caren, it's the intestine that is re-routed. The small intestine is pulled up and reconnected to the new small pouch stomach. Stomach juices like acid etc are introduced further down the line. Don't worry, you won't have bowel movements out of your belly button or anything like that hehe xxx
Thanks for the response girls, I had fertility tests about 3 years ago due to PCOS symptoms and failure to concieve for 5 years but they didn't diagnose anything, the result of my tests was 'too obese to concieve'. I know the mini pill would sort it but I don't want to fill my body with...
Girls I have a question for you.
:girlpower:
I'm 3 months, 2 days post op and am yet to have a normal monthly cycle. I've had a weak, 2 to 3 day bleed every 3 weeks and I'm wondering if it's all linked to my sleeve surgery.
It's not bothering me as such but I just wondered if it would...
I'm 3 months post op and loving life. I feels sexier, healthier and have much more get up and go. My hubby and I are also very sociable people and have never stopped eating out, having a drink etc. You learn to live with it and he will learn to live with it too. One promise I made to him before...
Sarah, you should be so proud, I'm proud of you and you're a stranger lol.
Without support from friends and family, this would be a whole different ball game and like you my hubby and family have been fabulous. You are and will continue to be the best you can be.
Thank you, my weightloss...
