I have had my gastric bypass on the 22nd of august. I'm doing fine. Not hungry at all and doing well on the soup. Got one of my sites that keeps bleeding. But my friends a district nurse so she's keeping an eye on it. Can't wait to get on with the rest if my slim life.

Well I'm off to Salford on Wednesday for surgery. Wish me luck guys. Eekkkk

finally after a long 2 and a half years i have my date for bypass on the 29th august..wuhoo cant wait now..

Been to Salford. Had my chat with the surgeon. Very nice man. Still no date but looking forward to everything. Feeling more positive towards the operation now I have talked everything through. Still apprehensive over the diet. But it's a must. So better try my hardest. Lol

I too have been to many meetings in the Mayo building and body image is soooo important. People need to know how they could look after surgery. I have found all the meetings very informative. It's a shame you found it a negative experience.

well i wonder if today will be the day that i get my appointment to go to the hospital. Its been just over a month now since i received my funding and still no appointment. getting stressed now... I just want it over and done with....:cry::cry:

i watched it, thought it was very good, i wasnt sure about watching the operation before i have it, but it was ok and good to see what is going to happen.

i too have suffered like you . i have tried every mask going and i still cant sleep with it on. i have a worse nights sleep when i use the machine than i do normally. i am really struggling with mine. makes it harder when the hubby cant sleep because of the machine but im sure we will get...

i too have the same but im a bugger for forgetting to take it, but now i realize i may not be able to have my operation i take it every morning now lol

i have received my funding for my bypass at salford....how long did people wait for an appointment once you had recieved your funding letter..im wanting to get things moving fast...

hi audrey, im going to salford, iv just received my funding at the end of feb, so waiting for my next appointment at salford so i know what i have to do next, i just hope everything goes to plan.xx

my friend left it 6 weeks but was told to be careful and not to push herself, just to build up over a couple of weeks.hope all goes well.xx
