I was interested in the balloon when I first started looking into all of this. I took the offer of a free consultation with a bariatric consultant who told me more about the balloon and I decided against it. Basically you would feel sick all of the time and when the balloon is gone you're back...
That's brilliant news. I've been quietly watching your story unfold and I'm so glad that you are getting some normality back. I don't think I could have coped anywhere near as well as you. You are a true inspiration. :)
I set a target of 18st 9lb and although I didn't quite get there I did manage 18st 12.6lb and a weight loss of 1st 8.9lb and I am very happy with that!!!
Good Friday weight: 22st 4lb
Original goal weight: 21st 6lb
Revised goal weight: 20st 2lb
Actual weight: 20st 7.5lb

I'm on a phased return to normal food over 6 weeks, starting with liquid, then purée etc. I'm currently on liquids. Perhaps...

If you're worried, go to your GP, if only to put your mind at rest.
I've had 3 general anaesthetics in the last 4 months. The first was for major open surgery and I remember a lot including being terrified of the surgery itself, not the anaesthetic. I remember going into the actual theatre and being transferred to the bed while people buzzed around me getting...
