Funnily enough Paul, I was practically veggie before my bypass, but thought I should try to eat some meat for the protein afterwards but just can't stomach it...not even after hours in the slow cooker. :)

I'm just over 3 months post op now and I struggle with all three so I stick to quorn meat mostly, I can manage about 2 teaspoons of rice and a few tiny nibbles of bread. I am finding though that my tastes have changed a lot and I really enjoy my fruit and veg now.

Any coffee is fine!

I'm not quite 2 months post op yet, so can't really comment at the moment but have to say you're looking amazing!

Teas maid

I was told not to drink alcohol or a year post op....so I drink water, I'm a cheap date these days!

The nurse practitioner I saw for my pre op appointment told me not to drink alcohol the night before surgery, but I wouldn't drink anyway in the run up to my op...alcoholic drinks are full of sugar, and of course like lots of others have said why risk not shrinking your liver enough?

Wedge heels

Yesterday I ate out for the first time since my op... I had a prawn cocktail and just ate the prawns and a little bit of whoemeal bread and ome mash and gravy off my partners plate! Today out of sheer greediness I ate 6 French frie style chips and 2 onion rings and felt really really sick...
