Had a check up with surgeon and agreed to a hernia operation. Been place on the waiting list , so probably within 3 months. Concerned re. possible recovery period particularly in light of post op complications with my sleeve.

Hi Haven't been on here that much lately as been quite busy. Had my six month check up with the dietician earlier and lost 50% of excess weight and over 100 lbs. It's still a struggle six months out but taking each day as it comes.

Whoo hoo , not been here since my 20's. After stalling for several weeks finally in the 17's. Still have 5- 6 stone to lose to meet target but happy weight's started to shift again. Really enjoying ticking items off my to do list.

Tried homemade shepherds pie yesterday and leftovers today. Seems to be ok as not tried red meat in over six months.

I'd also speak to your HR department and check the Sickness policy if these are available. Recovery time is different for everyone especially if there are post op complications. I ended up taking three months off.

hi Problem was resolved by surgeon expanding my pouch. Also have a small hernia leading to acid reflux and been prescribed lansoprazole and Metaclopramide which help. Weight seems to fluctuate and lost about 6 stones incl. pre op. Aware I need to up my exercise levels as trying to lose another...
