UK or abroad? Sleeve or band?

No my conversion was via Chris de Bruyne. Surgery Friday was discharged to hotel on the Sunday afternoon and flew home Friday. There was a lady who had a sleeve flew home the day before but mgb was 5 days. I stopped Iain relief in early hours of the Sunday morning and I've not taken anything...

Any experience of going from gastric band to bypass please?

I had private band and am 1 week post op revision to MGB again private as the NHS would not assist at all because my band was fitted privately. Always worth a try but my bariatric department wouldn't even accept a referral.

    Gastric band removal

It will depend on your NHS trust too, in mine they would not assist with reposition or removal or an help despite NHS surgeries causing further issues and the reason they wouldn't is because my band was fitted privatelY. I've just paid to revise from band to MGB bug I do hope you get sorted.

UK or abroad? Sleeve or band?

I went to Brussels and cannot rate the level of care or the cleanliness of the hospital highly enough. Surgery in the UK would have been almost 3 times the cost compared to what I paid. You will get horror stories wherever you look at, to me the surgeon was more important than some other...

right have made my decision......now need you advice!

Good luck to you on your journey, I've just returned from Belgium having had a band to MGB conversion and a couple of ladies there were giving the sleeve and they're doing great post op. Look for surgeon more so than provider and really look into the aftercare that is included whatever option...

Yes am home, got a taxi from the airport to avoid 2 trains and a taxi but enjoyed a long dog walk in the evening. I felt washed out yesterday do had to do work in small doses and it's an odd feeling not only to not be hungry, but even the thought of food is not a nice one. My tastebuds have...

funding - private band to nhs bypass?

My band was private, I had lots of issues including problems caused by NHS surgeries. They refused to do anything at all to resolve it, the bariatric department refused to even have me referred due to having the band private despite the problems caused by the NHS - I am currently in Belgium...

Well I'm alive lol He said he may not be able to do band removal and bypass at same time, but he has. He's also given me a smaller stomach than normal and given me an extended bypass which is longer than normal too. Am feeling just a bit of discomfort more so than anything although felt sick...

Surgery take 2 - Farewell Band "Anna" & welcome MGB "Bob"

So, last night I transferred over the full balance for my surgery. I have to travel for work the day before and don't fancy traipsing across London in the early hours of the morning with almost 7000 euros on me in cash. It's these steps that make it all the more real but this is the point...

Has Anyone Had Surgery with Dr Paul Super

He is very to the point, some people find him blunt, but he says exactly how it is and doesn't sugarcoat anything which I think is needed when we are making such decisions, he fitted my band and to be honest I really liked him. He was certainly the most honest person I dealt with at Healthier...
