I had private band and am 1 week post op revision to MGB again private as the NHS would not assist at all because my band was fitted privately. Always worth a try but my bariatric department wouldn't even accept a referral.

It will depend on your NHS trust too, in mine they would not assist with reposition or removal or an help despite NHS surgeries causing further issues and the reason they wouldn't is because my band was fitted privatelY. I've just paid to revise from band to MGB bug I do hope you get sorted.

My band was private, I had lots of issues including problems caused by NHS surgeries. They refused to do anything at all to resolve it, the bariatric department refused to even have me referred due to having the band private despite the problems caused by the NHS - I am currently in Belgium...

We are due out of the hospital this afternoon back to hotel for 2 nights and then fly Tuesday lunchtime. I have however on the other side got two train and a taxi journey as no-one can meet me at the airport. Thinking about booking a taxi transfer home though so shall see how I feel tomorrow :-)

Well I'm alive lol He said he may not be able to do band removal and bypass at same time, but he has. He's also given me a smaller stomach than normal and given me an extended bypass which is longer than normal too. Am feeling just a bit of discomfort more so than anything although felt sick...
