Good Luck to all of those awaiting their surgeries in 2019 and fingers crossed that this is your year if your still waiting for a confirmation date. Brace yourself for a fun rollercoaster ride.
Well done in that 2lb loss OTBS but that's just crap about the job :( .. it's their loss though. As for the Man U job nothing ventured nothing gained ;)
& As for your OH and changing their lifestyle or diet I'm afraid that needs to come from them. In times of old I would get tremendously...
Oh I have every intention of banging on about so much that their ears bleed. I just wasn't ever going to get listened to on that particular day as the guy dodged every question I asked him and he was more interested in all the weight I had lost. As complimentary as it was I really wanted to...
How did I miss this post from way back. Interesting read and spot on.
Diagnosed coeliac two years after my op despite me banging on about all the tummy issues & bloating I was having since my RNY. I was told it was down to diet & to try reduce fat intake even further, I literally could not...
Whoops me bad I'm really bad for wagging the finger.. I just don't want to see you being avoidably unwell. Well done on those losses though and the tiredness takes a few weeks to go. It's difficult to remember at this stage that you have just had a major op.
Awww mo you've been through the mill haven't you but so glad to hear you are on the mend now. The bowl problems are not unusual especially in the early days. Keeping up the fluid intake will help a lot. Have you been in touch with your team to see what they would recommend?
Got to go with Niccie on this. Fluids are crucial as we can become dangerously dehydrated. Imagine a normal persons tummy ..it will hold fluid there for a fair wee while and therefore slowly hydrating that person.. Now imagine our wee pouches. The liquid just flows out and through our system...
Paula the time will fly in and before you know it you will be well fixed on the losers bench. Meanwhile try to stick to a healthy eating plan and learn a new healthier lifestyle in preparation for what is ahead. That way it's not such a great big shock to you once the time comes
Ceeci you are gorgeous Just loose the skittles and you'll be fine Ceecie. I had a yen for Jaffa cakes a wee while back but don't understand why I even started to buy them in the first place?! Not bought them since Christmas and all the better for it to.
I too was a secret eater I would even go to great lengths to hide the evidence of my binges because I was so ashamed. Never got therapy but there are times I wished I had. I am in complete control in my day to day routine but I am easily derailed if my routine is interfered with. All WLS can be...
Wow Sonas a member since 2009 and today is your first post! Welcome :)
Your story is not unusual. Yoyo dieting was my forte! My only concern is that to meet most areas criteria in the uk you need a BMIof over 40 to qualify for surgery on NHS so you are borderline. The BP & arthritis may help...
Hi pricey and welcome. Wow your life couch needs a lesson or two in dealing with people. Sounds like they have an issue with people taking what to them seems "the easy way". Everyone on here will tell you there is no easy way, that it is bloody hard work and is far from easy. That said every...
Spot on los. Paula when I met with my teams dietician for the first time she was horrified at how little I drank. My first hurdle was changing a lifelong habit of managing and increasing my intake of 3 cups of tea to 2 litres of liquid (sugar and fizz free). And as los describes I felt I was...
