    Any regrets?

Yes I would do it again. I love my size 12 figure and being able to wear boyfriend jeans plus a t shirt. I love being cold in the winter instead of boiling hot in the middle of December. I'm thinking of having 'filler' injections to put some fat onto my face, as long as I don't end up looking...

    Any regrets?

I'm a year post-op and down to my optimum weight, which is fantastic. I no longer have severe arthritic pain and am 'normal' at last. But my face is like a balloon found behind the sofa a week after the party. It's lost it's oomph! Because of my droopy jowls I look tired all the time as the...

    Loose Skin

I'm 53 and have lost 91 pounds. I used to go to the gym before my surgery and now I go maybe twice a week, when work allows. I do weights for my arms and as many sit ups as I can. My loose skin isn't too bad at all, I was really surprised and pleased. My boobs have defo gone south but a good...

The three musketeers - final push to a healthy weight

Well now, here's a weird thing. One of the women at my singing group has recently lost 3 stone, which is fantastic. She said to me tonight, don't lose any more weight you are looking positively skinny. So, we're both 5 foot 6 inches and she weighs 10 stone 6 pounds and I weigh around 11...

Why do people try and jeopardise their operations?

If staying at a sensible weight was easy for us addicts, we wouldn't have had to resort to surgery to fix us. Our heads don't change after surgery and it takes a long time for our brains to catch up with our stomachs. I made poor choices when I was newly out of surgery and paid the price...

Update on Alien in my tummy (poss hernia lol)

Roch, I'm a nurse, get to the hospital. If it strangulates then you are in for a big problem. Take your courage in your hands and get it sorted out, seriously. You can't ignore something like this. Don't want to scare you but you need to get it done. Like someone has already said, it won't...

Janey, I can't really see these photos as they haven't been sized on my computer (I don't really understand technology). But from this view, you look fantastic. You'd never believe that you were once so big, it's amazing. Well done.

What did you honestly eat yesturday

When we are busy and can't stop for food I can get through 3-4 chocolates during a shift. The great thing is that that is all I want, I couldn't eat them all together but spaced apart by a couple of hours they are lovely. I never thought that I'd be able to just have a couple of chocolates and...

The three musketeers - final push to a healthy weight

Musketeers at the ready!!! Sam, so sorry to hear about your Auntie but she's not suffering any more and has gone to a better place. I've not been posting because I am just getting used to maybe, perhaps being at my goal. After being told by so many people, 'you're not going to lose any...

    naso gastric tube

Charis, if you needed one they'd put it in whilst you were under the anaesthetic so you'd miss the horrible bit. Not many people need them but whilst it is in it just feels awkward but it may be needed for drainage or to stop you vomiting (not a good idea with a newly stapled stomach).

Anyone been told they've lost 'too much'

Mixxie, it's not only you blokes who want sticky out veins. I know it's not very feminine, but I love it when I see veins on my hands that were always so podgy before. As I type this, I can see the tendons in my hands, it's sooooooooooo cooooooooooool

Anyone been told they've lost 'too much'

I posted on another discussion last night how a couple of women in my Chorus said how I shouldn't lose any more weight and that I was now getting too thin. But it was only the larger ladies who said this, normal sized women don't mention my weight. I think I will know when I get too thin. My...

Anyone received funding in Hampshire with BMI less than 60?

No, I've not come across anyone with a BMI under 60 get funding from Hampshire. I asked my doctor about it and she said that there were so many overweight people in my area that the PCT wouldn't be able to fund those under 60 BMI.
