That is really a wonderful thought, and somewhat surreal. It is really difficult to wrap your head around what surgery can do until you live it. Luckily on this forum we can experience the joy and journey over and over again.

Best of luck, maybe you should view it as one day at a time, then the task does not seem so daunting. I find it a blessing to be able to go to bed earlier so that I do not think of food and when I get up, another day is over and one day closer to surgery. Thinking of you.

The purpose of the diet is to shrink the liver that lies above the stomach. It just makes it a safer procedure and is one of the main considerations in the difficulty of the procedure. Im sure many do not follow as required and put themselves at risk.
