Hi guys, I was wondering if anyone can help me, I am 5 weeks post op today, Feel great, but every-time I go to eat anything I get a real bad dose of sneezing & Hiccups, anyone else had the same symptoms or any idea what may be causing this. Thank you :)

Hi Adele I have tried cauliflower cheese, gonna have cottage pie tomorrow, so hopefully manage that. My Nurse said that I had 6 cuts for the trocar's to be put in, The one that had the camera in has caused some severe soreness around the muscle

Haha Nicola, I Totally agree, I was in real pain after my op then about 2 days later it really kicked in, Mine is also on my left side where they have used the main port, Its painful when I bend or stretch. Doc said its just where they have cut through Muscle. But Hopefully all worth it in the end.

I know my doctor advised if I had the sleeve and didn't lose enough, I would then have the bypass, So I just took the bypass in the beginning. I think a lot of doctors are using the sleeve as a starting point now.

Yes I also get out of breath easily, My Nurse has advised this is quite natural after the op.

Hi Nicola, Are you keeping the pureed food down, I'm not a lover of Puréed food but I am trying. I hope you are doing well, are you only just a week bypassed.

Hi Guys, That's me back had my bypass on the 7th November, been very sore where the main port was inserted, and still painful when I lift anything heavy or bend, But apart from that I am fighting fit.:) I was wondering if anyone can help me with ideas for my food diary as I'm finding it...

Hi Joe, Glad your op went well, I had my bypass done on the 7th November, so 3 weeks this Thursday, How are you feeling and what are you managing to keep down.

Hi Lippy, I go in for my pre assessment on the 6th November, and have my Op the following day on the 7th.....Did you only have to follow a low carb diet for 10 days prior to your op, I am seeing loads of ppl saying they are on a milk diet for weeks, But I have never heard of that...

Hey Win, How long have you got to follow your pre op diet for, I am going for a gastric bypass on the 7th November, but only had to follow a low carb diet for 10 days, I have seen people saying they have followed the milk diet for longer. All the best with your op

I was wondering if anyone can advise me on the reason some consultants have you use the Milk diet, and others ask you to follow a low carb diet, also I was told I had to do it for no longer than 10 days, yet I know people who have been on it over 2 weeks.....Any Ideas as to why the difference...

I have my op on Thursday 7Th November In ARI Scotland, I have opted for the gastric Bypass, I will be admitted to Hospital on the 6th November to have all my pre op assessments. I cant wait really exciting now.

I have always drunk Vodka & Coke, But I have changed to Vodka with a dash of lime, soda & loads of Ice

Cat1972, I am scheduled to have my op on 7th November, being admitted on the 6th for all my pre assessments, My son Lives in Germany and he has also said when he comes home next year I have to go on a scary ride, as every-time I visit him we go to the equivalent of Alton Towers and Thorpe park...

Im having my Op at ARI, on the 7th November, so being Admitted on the 6th, I am very nervous but Its a decision I have made and have accepted that I need this op done. Just a bit concerned as I live In Moray so a fair bit of travel to get back & forth to the ARI. But Im Doing It... On My Pre op...
