18 months, 11+ stone loss and a baby later

It's been a rough ol' pregnancy. Iron, B12, Calcium & Protein deficient. Only this past weekend have I had an IV iron infusion and B12 jab to prep me for birth. I'm being induced at term too if Baby doesn't make an appearence before then. 38 weeks tomorrow. 2 weeks to go! I'm so done now. Just...

Could you try shocking your body into losing again by increasing your calorie intake? Adding an extra chunk of cheese or sausage or something?

Sorting the brain as well as the weight

I've had follow up dietitian appointments for the past 2 years since my surgery but nothing in the way of counselling. I've been referred to see someone who deals with eating disorders (anerexia, bulemia etc) because of just how much of a headscrew this really is. I'm currently pregnant (again...

Didn't take a photo as I dived right in! My dinner fitted in one of those saucer size Yorkshire puddings. It was freakin well lush! Didn't eat it all mind.. but a lil while after I had Christmas pudding and clotted cream, then 2 stuffing balls with gravy and then sweets lol Mmm XP x

How my tastes have changed ?

I did well and resumed 'normal' diet in between pregnancies but the sweeties taste SO good. I didn't care for sweets pre op. I was a chocolate monster. I'm giving my body a break after this baby. Bypass and 2 pregnancies in 29 months is hard work :p

How my tastes have changed ?

Hehe this was me straight after the op :P Then 2 pregnancies rekindled my love of all the naughty stuff and we're having an affair all over again. 23 weeks along and 8lb gain despite that ain't bad though :P (after an initial 12.5st loss!) ;) xXx

does weight loss = fat loss ?

If I'm honest, I never once in the 2 years since my op did any 'proper' exercise. Couldn't afford to go to the gym, and i suffer with D&A and can't leave the house so going for a walk was a major mental task. Just was an active, quite literal, SAHM. I lost 12.5 stone in total :) Keep going...

does weight loss = fat loss ?

Currently it is fat loss yes :) Insufficient calorie intake means your body will be burning your fat stores making you lose weight. The calorie deficit type thing. You're burning more than you're taking in which is a good thing! After a lot of fat loss you probably will have muscle loss unless...

How my tastes have changed ?

2 years on I don't think there are many differences in tastes. Chocolate tastes SOOOO much better now though :P

    Hoping for the bypass

The pregnancy thing, I've read it's 'ok' to try to conceive from 12 months, some places recommend waiting until 24 months post op. It gives your body time to lose the weight and adjust to the lack of nutrients absorbed in the body. Speaking from experience it's bloody hard work. I fell pregnant...

Lil update in here :) I carried on losing weight and got down to 10st 2lbs (over 12 and a half stone loss) before finding out I was pregnant again! Eek! Now 18+ weeks along and have gained 9lbs so far. Watching the scales go up is hard, I avoid them all over again! And also wearing...

Ceecee, I'm sure it'll shift slowly now but if it doesn't, you've still done incredibly well! 2 years to the day for me today. This time 2 years ago I was under the knife. Scary thought. Watching the scales go UP is horrifying for me atm. But it's all the pick'n'mix I'm eating >. < I'd like to...

    how things change

Being able to literally run around, do handstands and go crazy in the local play zone with my 4 year old son. And play on the floor with my 8 month old daughter. I'm 2 years out now and 2 years ago I'd sit in the corner and hide. I'd never play with him outdoors for fear of judgement and also...
