My bruising didn't half develop and spread massively during my first week post op and lasted a good 6-8 weeks so don't be surprised if it starts to look a lot worse before it starts to get any better Xx
You're very welcome Carol :)
I lost 3 stone prior to my op which was a hard slog but I weighed in at 15st on op day (20th Jan 2016) and today I weigh 12st6lb I think in comparison to others my weight loss hasn't been as drastic post op but this works for me because I didn't tell many people...
I went for the loop bypass only because it allows me to eat slightly more than the rny pouch would, which I think will suit me better long term plus come op day following strict pre op diet for 8 months I weighed 15 stone so didn't have masses of weight to loose
It's a very individual decision...
Hi nafpnd
My typical days diet now I'm coming up to 10 weeks out is:
B- kingsmill wholemeal sandwich thin with two poached eggs
L - small baked potato with tuna or homemade veg broth
T - chicken (generally have to cook it in a sauce as can't get baked chicken down) with some veg but can't...
Hi Amy I had a loop bypass 8 weeks ago, my experience was I had some localised pain on the day of op so accepted some pain relief overnight however the next day I didn't really have any pain as such I was more weary and exhausted and this lasted for about two and a half weeks until my body...

Only got 2lbs to go and I will be simply overweight!!!!! This to me is sooooo super exciting as I have been obese/morbid my entire adult life starting to feel the benefits of the op now it's official I'm no longer an op regretter:)
I now feel so lucky to be a looper X
I'm 7 weeks post op and I went for first girlie meal out this weekend the rest of the table were just having mains so I ordered two starters so I had two plates like the rest of them, I ordered aloo gobi and chicken tikka I managed half of chicken and ate the cauliflower out of the aloo gobi...
Interesting thread I've noticed post bypass that I'm also no longer eating salad, vegetables or fruit in the way I was when following pre op diet in fact I'm not having them at all!!! once I have eaten small amount of protein ie a bit of chicken I don't have room for anything else I was assuming...
I was lucky as those around me were very supportive from the moment I expressed an interest in WLS as a recent bypasser I can say that in the first few weeks you definitely need to lean on others even for simple tasks so having plenty of support is extremely important, I wish you lots of luck...
Hi Westie
