Hi, I'm Kirsty, banded August 2014. My post op dairy

Oh Kirsty. Maybe the additional carbs has meant you have taken on fluid. That is how it works with me, doesn't have to be much either. Most people start SW from a high carb base, you were coming from a low carb one. It is entirely possible you lost weight but it isn't showing. Feel for you...

    Starting to stress!

An early stall is very common, it was the reason I did my first weigh in 4 weeks after my op, to avoid the stress. It will come. One thing 1.2 litres isn't enough, try and up your fluids.

    Medical alert bracelets

One would think if we need to wear a medical alert bracelet or similar then this would be communicated by one's team as part of the discharge information. I know someone who had a seizure during a routine op and had to be resuscitated, not a wls patient though but this was on my mind as...

TrendyWendy's Pre & Post Op Diary

Well done on the 16s :D Re portion size.. I was/ am the same. Whatever is on the plate I think I need to finish, doh. Getting there though, the dog gets my leftovers immediately I feel full. I still find sloppy foods mean I can get more in. Its the hard protein that makes you full up...

    Medical alert bracelets

My op was an MGB or mini gastric bypass, essentially a sleeve with a bypass. I just had to contact my provider as I am about to have a hip replacement. I have been told even a tube is not a problem. Of course, I should inform them of my op but as far as they are concerned there is nothing out...

    Hi, from Scotland

Hi there and welcome. Yes getting wls in Scotland is extremely difficult as bariatric services are severely underfunded. I met the criteria, waited two years and got nowhere. This site will certainly help in your research. Good luck. :)
