    December 2015 Surgeries

We had our surgeries about 2 years ago, I remember it like it was yesterday. It's been a while since I've heard from you all but I hope my December 2015 buddies are doing well. Let us know how you're getting on!

    Weekly weigh in and support

I completely understand, this has happened way too many times for me, and I'm letting bad habits like drinking whilst I'm eating slip in. But I think the fact that we're aware of it is actually a good thing. Also over time, we can just naturally eat more so eating a normal portion at some point...

    Weekly weigh in and support

Hiya! Yes I can eat lots more than I could 18 months ago, on my diary on here, I did say that I try and tell myself just because you can, doesn't mean you should, so just because I can eat loads I try not too. It's definitely not as much as pre-op, but I can eat quite a bit now which can be a...

    Weekly weigh in and support

Hi Barne! Yeah it is a shame, it could have been a real asset, but we're such a small community. No worries though, plenty of support elsewhere on the forum. How are you feeling about your impending MGB?

    Going it alone!

It's a PPI (proton pump inhibitor) I was told that I would have to take one everyday for the rest of my life, some people only have to take it for a few months. It helps to reduce the amount of acid. I would check with your provider and check if there's a certain multivitamin they would like you...

    Going it alone!

Hi Heidi. I agree with what some of the other posters have said, there have been people who have gone abroad by themselves to get the surgery but it's important to make sure you have a plan like starreyeyed suggests. When I was sick after my surgery I remember that the NHS doctors couldn't do a...

    Weekly weigh in and support

The MGB forum is often quiet but it might be a nice idea to start a weekly weigh in like the banders have where we talk about what we're eating and have a casual weigh in :) Anyone up for this??
