Congratulations on your surgery anniversary and all you have achieved in the year Mindy, it is really amazing. Sorry about the band issues, as has been suggested by others here, maybe cut out the offending foods for a while and see before going for a defill? All the best.

2.5 weeks post-op - how did you feel?

As everyone on here has said, we're all different and surgery affects us in different ways. I was a day case and have never had any real issues (apart from the occasional dumping) due to the wls which is a good thing but then I ask myself sometimes if I would have lost more weight if I had felt...

    Potential Revisioner from Band

@juliep , do you mean you've been put on a tier programme? I thought the milk diet was in preparation for surgery, that's how my team did mine, tier 3 for 6 months to lose 10% of excess weight and then milk diet two weeks before the op to shrink the liver (lsd) for surgery, some people do lsd...

Good to hear from you Mindy. The further out we are, the harder it gets! All the best in getting over this sticky period, as you say, sometimes need to buckle up regroup and get yourself into that head space which will allow you to get over the stall. All the best with your daughter as well, hugs.

    Dumping syndrome

All that @Hannah2 has said and there are other non sugary foods which might not agree with you and cause similar symptoms. I tend to have a problem with eating too quickly and with oily food, it causes dry vomiting, diarrhea and sweating (for me it happens the day after which I think is unusual)...

    Sandra's Pre Op Diary

You might have to increase your fluid intake quite a lot on the milk diet. I landed in hospital from dehydration whilst on the 2 week milk diet. Hopefully you are feeling better already having increased your water intake now and good luck with your GP.

Well done for getting back on track and losing the weight you put on, that's such a challenge, my stumbling block so far has been keeping on the straight and narrow for birthdays - have had 2 in the last couple of months and it's so not easy getting back on track so well done you.

New on site and at Luton & Dunstable

Yes, I was a day case. I was the first gastric bypass day case at the whitt (don't know about the rest of the country). My surgeon selected me as an experiment lol! I was absolutely fine, in pain like everyone else but manageable.

4 weeks post op. Am I eating too much?

As starry says, it's different amounts for everyone. I also had the bypass and was able to eat normal food early and in similar amounts. I was worried and still am worried about it 6 months out as my weight loss has been really slow - but mine was slow even at liquid stage. I just contributed...

how do the doctor's do the application

My GP did mine online and that went to the central booking place and stayed there for a few weeks as they did not have nay appointments available. Then I read on the forums here that they should try faxing it and that's what they did before I was then allocated and appointment.
