It's quite normal I think. One of the biggest challenges is fighting head hunger. It's why surgery is a tool and not a magical fix. It's still early days, assuming you're on purées now? How are you getting on with them?
I agree with @Bling Babe , your weightloss is hardly slow. I had my bypass July 2019 and have only lost around 4st... Now that is slow... and frustrating!
Agree that it's an excellent loss. Not everyone loses huge amounts but it will come off. It's better not to lose too quick tbh as there are complications that come from losing too quick (this is what I keep telling myself when I'm disappointed in my losses)
Sorry to hear about your dad. My dad was poorly when I had my operation and sadly passed when I was a month post op. It totally sucked but as a comfort eater, having the bypass in place prevented me being able to gain the tonne I would have likely gained without.
I hope your dad is ok xx
Exciting times ahead. Assuming you're starting your LRD? Which plan are you following?
I'm 6 months post bypass and am lucky enough to have an easy going pouch and haven't had any complications (well not linked to the operation).
I'd highly recommend a book called Living with Bariatric Surgery...
@MariaMaria83 was at Homerton I believe but she hasn't been about for a while. I have messaged her irl to ask her so she may pop on soon or I can post her reply. I know she has a lot on her plate ATM (no pun intended 😂)
I'm sorry I don't have answers for you but I didn't want to read and run. I hope someone pops by who might have more of an insight.
Can I ask why the sleeve didn't work? (Three weeks seems very quick to decide that unless there were complications. I only ask cos I'm nosy 😂)
