My journey through tier 3 in Leicester

While i am here, a quick update When i attended that first meeting with the dietitian last May i was told that , if all went well, to expect surgery around Feb this year. Then it moved to June. Now it is even worse. I completed my stint on tier 3, having the lost the required amount of weight...

Worried I’m going to be turned down.

Hi Hattiesmum I am in Leicester too. I think because my BMI is over 50 I only had to spend 6 months on tier 3. The referral will be quite quick but I think you have to attend a group session first now before seeing the dietitian.

My journey through tier 3 in Leicester

UPDATE Hi I am sorry I haven't been around. I haven't been well and I've been extremely stressed by what has been going on in my life. It has been really tough but I have made a decision not to carry on with what is causing me so much pain. Slowly I am starting to feel a little better but I am...

My journey through tier 3 in Leicester

Horrendous, isn't it. I don't think many people understand if they haven't been there. You are doing better than me. I don't fly now. Loosing and gaining is the story of my life! I hope the process isn't to arduous with L&D and you get your appointment soon.

My journey through tier 3 in Leicester

Thanks Lottie. Not doing so well now. I think I am 4lb heavier than when I saw the dietitian due to stress eating and not caring. Hopefully back on it now. How are you?

My journey through tier 3 in Leicester

Thanks FeeBee. My diet has fallen apart which pretty much reflects what is going on with my life at the moment. I made the mistake of shutting down when it is much better to talk.

My journey through tier 3 in Leicester

Hello Princess Tiger I must admit to being a little jealous of everyone here who has someone in the same area to 'talk' to. We should start a 'going it alone' club :( Dot

My journey through tier 3 in Leicester

UPDATE Well I have had my 6 week check up with the dietitian and I have lost the required weight. The work sheets so far have been about eating regularly and I have done well at that. I am now moving on to a work sheet where I monitor my hunger levels before and after eating. I must be doing...

Hi everyone and is anyone from Leicester

Hi Maria. I am so pleased to meet someone going through the Leicester system. I have my second dietition appointment shortly and hope to have lost about a stone. I've been eating healthily most of the time. Just the odd meal out when I've had what i fancy. Congratulations on getting on the...

Hi everyone and is anyone from Leicester

Hi Maria I have just started on what I think is the tier 3 programme in Leicester. I think I have to show a change in my eating habits and lose some weight before being put forward to surgery but it is all rather confusing as the info on a questionnaire they sent me said I would be with the...

My journey through tier 3 in Leicester

Hi SJ some very nice ideas in there. I will add to my food/weight journal. I find keeping all my thoughts and ideas together really helpful. It sound like you are doing really well. I am so grateful not to live in you area. 6 weeks on a Lrd? How is that even possible? Are they trying to...

    Shrinking from 25 stone......

You know what? You did REALLY well. A few packets of crisps will be undone quickly as long as you don't feel bad about them and go completely off track. A big achievement so be kind to yourself.

My journey through tier 3 in Leicester

Thanks Lottie. Some really good suggestions there. I love eggs and had no idea that you could get butternut lasagne. I am not sure about quorn after being on slimming world for too long but I love kidney beans and probably could have enough cals for lean mince. I think I might have a go at bean...
