I hope you receive this message since it's been a while, but how did you maintain after the milk diet? Surely moving onto actually food after the milk/jelly will automatically cause you to gain weight?

Thanks everyone for your replies, they have said the guidelines don't allow for wrist blood pressure readings (even though my bariatric nurse thinks they're fine!). I emailed the website selling the big ben cuff and it will only work with the electronic counter part to that cuff which is £70+...

No bother at all, I have been put on the waiting list for surgery, and during this waiting time I am sorting out my blood pressure with my doctor. Hope yours goes ok :)

Nope, nothing :( Oo that's fab well done you! I don't see Beryl until June, my blood pressure meds have been upped today so hopefully that brings it down a bit. The nurses are all a bit confused as to why the anaesthetist isn't happy with my BP but hey ho, I wanna keep him/her happy :P

Yeah good point, if it's not here next Tuesday I'll ring and double check everything is a-ok :) they're gonna hate me by the time my surgery comes around haha but I've heard so so many stories of people being forgotten or booted off the waiting list by accident so it's worth a check x
