    Had phone call from nurse at hospital other day, she was just checking on me. Told me they not sure when they will restart but they haven't forgot about us lol. Weighed myself today start weight I think was 171kg and today was 161kg so lockdown not done to much damage to my weight.

    Hi, guys I'm still here plodding along. Everything's been put on hold at the moment because of covid :( just got to stay below my start weight and practice good eating habits. Been doing lots of reading got the weightloss surgery for dummies books and soaking up info like a sponge. Stay safe.

    That's cool, thought it'd be something like that. Its still a shock to think of it in those terms when your used to having massive plates of food. Been doing lots of research into recipes, trying to workout best way to get everything I need into my meals.

    Went to a group dietitian appointment yesterday, discussed pre-op and post op diets. keeping food diary's, not drinking with meals, eating 3 balanced meals a day. Hard to believe that after the op i'll be full on a portion thats the size of an ice cube or 2. No wonder they make you wait so long...

    I found it, after circling the block twice lol, a nice lady waved me down and asked me if I was looking for owlss. The meeting went really well everyone was friendly and put me at ease straight away. Lots of useful but really frank information. I look forward to going again :)

    not drinking at meals

    I've started off slow with nothing during meals and slowly increasing the gaps either side. But i'm always thirsty so constantly carrying a bottle of water or squash with so thats not to bad.

    Going to my first support group tonight in Scunthorpe. A bit nervous not good meeting new and doesn't help that the sat nav on my phone won't find the address I've been given just stops in middle of post code. Wish me luck.

    So just started tier 4 a little while ago, anyone else having trouble with not drinking at meal times? Just feels wrong not to have a drink with my food i understand all the reasons why, guess its gonna be a hard habit to break.

    sorry i've not posted in ages. thought i'd put an update on here. so I got kicked off tier 3 for missing appointments after my car broke down. I tried to reapply but got put on tier 4 as I had completed most of 3. So today was my first day of tier 4.

    went for my second appointment the other day, it was with the dietician. Not very exciting it was a group meeting, we learnt about food pyramids and balanced plates etc.

    Yeah I've got an appointment on the 6th with dietician. I need to work on only eating 3 balanced meals a day. Need to lose 5% of weight in 6 months then keep it off for another 6.

    Thanks received 2 more appointments today one for blood pressure check and another for some sort of group thing. Its a nice surprise was starting to think they had forgotten about me.

    And so it starts, got my first tier 3 appointment letter through today. Its with the dietician on Feb 16th, apparently its gonna be about 3 hours.

    Hello, so sitting here reading loads of posts and was just wondering how long it took from your referral to your first appointment. I sent a letter back on the 13th nov confirming I wanted to start on tier 3 but not heard anything yet. Am I in for a wait.
