    2019 surgeons list

Day 4 of the milk diet, and it’s not actually that bad. The hardest bit is preparing everyone else’s meals. I have so far lost 6kgs since Tuesday, which is insane.

    2019 surgeons list

What would we do without you Parsnip, you're so organised :) I'm more nervous about the LRD than I am about the surgery. I'm so worried that I am going to let myself down because I am my own worst enemy. I have three kids and they will help me stay motivated, but they still need me to cook...

Approved for RNY Bypass, having my Surgical Assessment on Wednesday 19th June!

Pre op went well today! They have advised that there is a long wait, as my surgeon only works Tuesdays and Thursdays. I was advised that they use the same dye that they use in CT scans in the stomach to check for leaks. I am super allergic to Contrast Media (the dye) so I will have to have an...

Approved for RNY Bypass, having my Surgical Assessment on Wednesday 19th June!

Many, many hoops! I have already been referred for Tier 4, this was back in January. I have spent since then jittering with excitement. The surgeon was super chill though and said the wait was around three months (this was just 6 weeks ago), I need to learn to be patient. Haha! I've changed...

Hello! I am new too, although I am still pre-op. I am loving the LOTR reference

Tier 3 was an eye opener.

Hi all, I apologise if this has already been discussed, but I wanted to talk about my Tier 3 Journey with someone. Unfortunately, my husband isn't supportive of me having surgery. His response usually is, "instead of getting surgery, just don't eat as much" (if only!), so I hope you don't mind...

Newbie, I have my consultation for surgery next week. Extremely nervous...

I will definitely let you know what happens. I have also been asked to take part in a By Sleeve research programme, which I think is when they use your records for a study. Interesting stuff. x

Newbie, I have my consultation for surgery next week. Extremely nervous...

Hello all, I have just completed Tier 3 at Spire in Southampton and I have a consultation booked this coming Thursday with Mr Byrne at the Spire Hospital. I don't have much info about what the consultation will entail - can anyone give me a heads up? I hate going in unsure. II have searched...
