Lemon barley is good too.
I get these all the time, and have one at the moment too!
Cystopurin from the pharmacy can be good too.
Hope you feel better soon

Wow thanks for all the replies!
I am not sure how much skin they took away, but I will put the before and after pics on soon so you can judge for yourselves? I see the surgeon again at 6 weeks post op so I will ask him then.
It is an amazing difference to look down though!
This has...
Having just had my tummy tuck last week (wed), I can't imagine not recuperating in my own bed, and certainly couldn't consider a flight - I haven't left my bedroom since getting home on Friday and I am wondering if I am going to be up to going to my dressings appointment on Wednesday as I...
I had my tummy tuck last Wednesday (fleur de lys) and I am at home recovering now. I am absolutely and totally wiped out!
It seemed to go well though (apart from an allergic reaction to codeine). I am managing on just paracetamol and the pain isn't too bad.
Has anyone else had this surgery...
It's a tough journey with lots of ups and downs, and they continue, 3 days or 3 years after surgery!
You have come such a long way, look at what you have achieved, this is minor in comparison, you can do it!

My stats are wrong, I have put on a few pound since then I just haven't updated.
I remember when we were both getting surgery - our journeys were similar!

I haven't been on here for ages but thought I would come and say hi and look for some motivation to help me back to my target.
I completely missed my 2 year anniversary of my op, which was last week. I really can't believe it has been that long.
I am now preparing for my tummy tuck in 2...
I didn't fancy alcohol at this stage, but if I am honest, I probably would have!
Be very careful though, your tollerance to alcohol will have massively changed, and also it can make you dump.
I don't think it would be sensible yet.

I am 2 years post bypass and dumping is much reduced, in fact yawning/tiredness and palpitations and a really gurlgly stomache are about all I do get nowadays if I do eat anything sweet, which means the temptation is there again and it's hard to control. I miss dumping!
You sound like you are never going to eat again! You will still enjoy a sunday dinner. I had one today, I will admit I avoid the roasties but you wouldn't know otherwise. When we go out I order a child's dinner and can usually eat pretty much all of it.
I wouldn't be without my sunday roast...
I get this a lot from people who knew me when I was fat.
But I have met A LOT of new people over the last year, some of whom I have become really good friends with, and NONE of them have ever said "Kelly I think you need to put some weight on".
It is just about people's perceptions. Your...
I am a bypasser, can't see that being a problem.
You might find your taste changes anyway.
I just eat what I like to eat, in child size portions (obviously minus the crap I ate before).
Good luck

My hair got really thin and wirey while I was loosing weight, but now I am at my target it has stabilised. I tried lots of supplements and thickening shampoos but none of them helped with that.
Try not to worry, it won't be permanent.

Thanks everyone! I am not in major crisis just yet, but I could be. I am in a really good place with my bypass now, I know what I can and can't eat etc. I just have snacky habits which are annoying me!
I lost quite a bit over christmas and new year (9lb) and I have put 7 back on since then...
