erm.... I had plication in the UK under Prof Ammori. Dr Alan Li has taken over most of his private patients in Manchester
It went really well for me and my team told me I had one of the best success rates as 63% of excess.
After 2 or 3 years, I hit a black hole in life and put a bit back on...
maybe you mean me... if you search my user name I'm sure you'll find more info
I had a wrap 4 years or so ago. Took me from 21st to about mid 14 st. Was over the moon
I'd bob up and down a bit - nothing too drastic. Some major nightmares set me back on my old course and I went up to about...
I'm pretty much on normal foods.
I could NOT cope with puree.
I did 12 days on fluids, about 10 days on scrambled egg and cottage cheese and am now on pretty much anything.
I say pretty much anything - but I'm being sensible. Mince and gravy, sausage and gravy, single egg omlet, even a small...
I think my bmi was about 45 ish at it's worst.
I worried about not being able to eat anything... about being hungry... about feeling I was missing out ... and would I still enjoy life !
For me, it's the best thing I ever did... but you will have a considerable time sorting your head out and...
2lb a week is still good going. The more you drop, the slower it gets (most of the time) and stalls are really really frustrating. I seem to be dropping about a little under 2lb a week this week and last week (I'm 1 month post sleeve)
Slowly, slowly catchy monkey..
Slower weight loss = less...
I'm a carb addict. After spending a few years away from bread, rice, pasta and potatoes... I went back.

Those are my weakness and...

The wrap worked wonderfully for me. Originally, I'm told I was only the third person the surgeon had done the wrap for in the UK and it was still considered experimental procedure.
I was...
I had SHOCKING acid reflux and a bmi of about 45.
I had a plication (private) several years ago now, and have never suffered with reflux since. I probably should have had a bypass..... If they've said it will help with the reflux, Im sure they'll be right..
As it is, I've just had a sleeve...
well done. 20lb is good going !
My op was 2 weeks ago and I'm about 6lb down .... but I've also had a cold, period and had quite a bit of inflammation. I'm guessing I may well have a better loss over this next week or two.
Glad you are doing this ... I didn't do regular photos before when I had the plication. I really could not come to terms with the smaller me and hated the camera. Took me literally a couple of years to adjust.
The differences already are incredible Nicky !
It wasn't until I went and had...
I don't know if my story will help, but I'm willing to share.
I started at a pinch under 300lbs if I remember right. Got myself together and went private for a plication. A plication is having your stomach folded in on itself - nothing gets taken away.
I was warned that I'd achieve 50%...
