Can you take whey protein powder on the pre op liver shrinking diet??

Hi

I was just wondering if you can take protein powder in your milk on the liver shrinking diet???? Or is it too high in calories etc??

I am taking multi vitamins cod liver oil and zinc daily suppliments, but wondered should I start having protein now or wait till after surgery on 9th Oct 09??

I think you should wait until after the surgery because, even if the protein powder is low in carbs, the calorie count is quite high. After surgery, though, you will need all the protein you can get. xx
