Measurements & the size you wear?

Hi everyone, I am intrigued , and still very confused about dress sizes. My actual measurements and the dress size I wear don't add up. According to the dress size guides I should be wearing larger sizes. I thought I'd ask what everyone actually measures and what size they wear. So,my measurements are:
Bust: 41"/105 cms
Waist: 33"/84cms
Hips:43"/109cms
I am 5 ft 10ins and wear a size 14.
How about you ?

Hi not sure what my measurements are at the mo but I got size 20 bottoms today some shops I can get size 18 tops some 20 tops and some 22, depends where you shop really there is no rhyme or reason just have to try everything on. xx

None of it makes any sense to me. I'm the same height as you, weigh less, and wear a 12/14.

So,my measurements are:

According to a size chart I have you are pretty much within an inch of what the official measurements of a UK size 14 is, so not a surprise that you are wearing size 14.

Now I can't remember right now where I got this chart from (I have a printed out copy in front of me and don't have the link where it originally came from) but that says:

i wish i was 5'10" i'm only 5'4" but about same measurements otherwise and now size 14 but two shops are never the same if i don't try on in the shop i make sure i ask if it can be returned if doesn't fit xx

Interesting I'm bust 37; waist 39; hips 48. I'm currently wearing size 20/22 but check out What Size Am I?. It gives you sizes in high street stores according to your measurements.

My Bust is 42
Waist 39
Hips 47
and I am 5'5. I wear 20 bottoms and a coupe of 18 (some 22 with belts)
Tops any were from a 16 sleeveless as bingo wings don't always fit, to a 18-20 with sleeves. But size is odd as I got a dress from next in a 24 and it fit well.

I'm 6ft and bust 44, waist 36, hips 47. Normally a size 18, but a size 20 in trousers i think (never buy them - too traumatic!). The chart looks exactly right....looking forward to being a size 16.
