I have promised myself if I reach 15 and a half stones a Mulberry Bayswater bag (oak colour large one). It's really expensive and I can't afford it. (I'm poor:cry:)
But I figured out I spent at least £30 a week on takeout choccie and junk. So what I am saving I can invest in my dream handbag.
I'm also going to pick up vouchers at Monsoon every time I have a spare £10 to invest in my future wardrobe.

What about you?

Thats a fantastic idea but just a word of caution. as nice as the clothes are at monsoon as you shrink and change shape you may find that their design of clothes dont suit you.
I never realised that i was going to be a petite fit and if i had got vouchers for one store i would of been limited equally clothes that i thought would suit as they did before do nothing for me now.
it may be worth opening a savings account and putting the £10 in that then you can shop everywhere rather than limiting your choice.
the bag sounds fab by the way

Yeah, the bank sounds a better idea than shop vouchers, at least you wont be restricted to the one shop... :D

My Dad said when i get to my goal of 12st, him n my Mam will 'kit me out' (as he put it) with new clothes!

My mate had given me a couple of pair of really nice/fancy jeans a few yr ago, when she got too skinny for them, they are just stuck in my wardrobe!! Think they're size 14, cant wait till i can fit into em!!

Good Luck Everyone!!! :wavey:

Thats a fab idea HC, However I think i'm really lucky cos my OH can't wait to buy me smaller clothes...lets hope he feels the same when I get there..lol

I was a size 32 on top and 26/28 on bottom when I got my band, by the time it got removed I was a 22 bottom and 20 top, this went up to 24/26 top and 22/24 bottom before bypass. At the moment (and hopefully not for long) i'm 20/22 on top and 22 on bottom(think i could be 20 but havent tried yet). I don't know what size i'd like to be, I always thought when i started the journey with band that i'd be happy with size 18 but with bypass i hope to go lower than that but i don't know how low. I think i'm too scared to think lower than that..

back in feb when i met with the brum crowd i was a 16 and was happy there so every size down since has been a bonus.
my theory is when i stop shrinking i stop shrinking. who knows when that will be!!!!

Thats how I felt too HC but know I want to get to a 14 and maybe a 12!

Oh and dont shrink too much! lol :D Have you got a new goal weight?

My lovely OH had to shell out on a pair of Ugg boots that he promised me when I got below 16 stone. He didnt realise how much they were bless him ;)

And don't buy anything expensive to wear until you bottom out.

I had to buy a new suit for a funeral and was lucky enough to get one at Slaters for £60 instead of the usual £160 I was paying this time last year.

Even so I wore it once, went back to it three weeks later and it looked huge on me.

No i havent set a new goal weight. Although i always said i wanted to be a healthy bmi because of my height its difficult to know what that will be. I must have a least a stone of excess skin so if i deduct that off my current weight it gives me a bmi of 25 so anything i loose on top of my weight loss now is just the icing on the cake. Saying that i have never been keen on icing so if i stay as i am im fine about it.

after 7 weeks post op and 2 and half stone loss i treated myself to a set of beutiful preofessional nails. at £33 i felt a bit guilty but at £20 every 2 weeks my chinese takeaways more than covered it! and the nails have lasted 3 weeks so well worth it.

Dont know what I would buy myself like Carole and Karlos say Iwould be worried about buying anything too expensive till I was stable whenever that would be
The bag idea though is brill Tyraboots and if thats what you want then why not.
I also think the money would be better in a savings account then you can shop wherever you like

Jay xx

I'm not used to spending money on myself, and I haven't a clue although I would like to mark my transformation in some way. Maybe a charm bracelet with a new charm for each stone?

I havnt really treated myself, everything I have bought had been out of necessity rather than a treat, but I think just after I get married in May I will treat myself to a new tattoo or piercing! Yeay for me! Only problem is the other half doesnt like either tats or piercings! hahaha
