One of the best (if not THE best) books on weight loss I have ever read is this one
You: On a Diet: The Insider's Guide to Easy and Permanent Weight Loss: Amazon.co.uk: Michael F. Roizen, Mehmet C. Oz: Books

It has a section on WLS and goes into a lot of facts about what is happening in our brains with hormones and chemicals , when we comfort eat, crave stuff, diet etc and it has been a fascinating read and taught me a lot about how my body works and what my mind is doing when I am around food.
I would definately recommend reading this as so many mysteries are answered and it is fun and easy to read and understand.
