water infections

this is the 3rd time ive had a water infection since my reband op, gp gave me a 3 day course of anti biotics which had no effect at all so shes changed me to another one called cefalexin for 7 days so fingers crossed these work. im now wondering if theres a link to having wls as why this problem is re occuring as a few others seem to be having the same problems after having wls.
gp says if it happens again that i need refered to a specialist which i really dont want to go to, but i will if they refuse me any more treatment.
oh well that my moan for today.

maybe its down to not getting as much water as before the op, i guess eating les means less water, and mybe the amount we drink isnt enough to compensate sometimes.

i really hope you feel better soon and it clears up

Hi Liz

If you have a reoccuring UTI it will be best to find out what causes this.

There are many, many reasons why you might be suffering with this, probably not connected to the band.

I know this is a daft question but are you getting enough fluids?

Maybe over the next 10 days you could add sugar free cranberry juice to your diet and see if that helps calm it a little.

If not, please look after yourself and get it seen too

i drink as much water as i can and i always carry bottled water with me when i can, fingers crossed these pills work and it doesnt come back in the near future.

I would get this investigated...I would be very concerned at the amount of short courses of antibiotics you are taking.

As Cazbandy says Cranberry and what was the other Oh yeah lemonbarley water that what was recommended b4 ocean spray was invented, but gallons of water wash it away
