Hi everybody,
You may know if you have read my posts that I am due my surgery on Friday if all goes well at my pre op visit tomorrow.
My surgeon mentioned that past surgery I will have regular vitamin B12 injections.
How many of you have this and where do you go to have it, hospital or doctors?
I hear that vitamin B12 is beneficial in many other ways too, what is your experience of them?

Hi Lynne

The b12 is a 3 month injection that can be done at the doctors or like mine has done I have it on a repeat prescription and my husband (a paramedic) can do it.

I believe this is for life now xx

Hi Lynne,
I also had my surgery privately with Mr Ammori
I was given my first B12 at the 5/6 week check up at the Spire
Second was at approx 4/5 months post op by my GP(Mr Ammori writes to your GP telling them all that you need on prescription)
Now its up to me to get my GP to do the B12 every 3 months

Thank you xx

The way it works for me is I get a prescription for the b12 injections from my GP, I think 5 at a time, and they are then stored at the GP surgery. I make an appointment with the nurse every 3 months and she tells me when she's used the last one so I can get more.

I know when it's due as I feel cold all the time and tired.
