Gastric Band Surgery

Hi everyone,
I may be just blind and not see a thread about this, but I have recently been referred by my doctor for gastric band surgery, I am being referred to a doctor (cant remember his name) at Walsall Manor Hospital.

I was just wondering if anyone has been there.
I am also wondering the process of having a gastric band, ie. Councelling, tests etc..

I am waiting for my funds (not funding) to come through and I am then booking my G/B. I thought it would have been sorted by now but due to offices being closed over Xmas I am still waiting.

I think most of us are for bypass at walsall is it dr Khan doing your surgery, but there are loads of people who have had bands else where though.
