Good Time To Start 5 Day Pouch Test?

I was due to start the 5 day pouch test, but put it off because I was around people that don't know about my op last week.
I had planned to start this week instead, but I got a call from the bariatric nurse to say the MDT want me to have a barium swallow. They want check the size of my pouch before they decide there next more (revision surgery or not).

What I wanted to know does the 5 day pouch test shrink the pouch? Though that would be great I don't it to affect the barium test.

Also I've seen my gp today because I've been in really bad pain on and off since the weekend and she think it might due to gallstones or pelvis. Because of pain I've been struggling with water.

No, it doesn't shrink the pouch, it just reaffirms your restriction for you mentally. Its like a mental kick up the jacksy!

and it does work the pouch test.
