Restriction variation

Hello peeps! I'm now 7 months post bypass and I'm noticing my restriction varies a lot depending on the day. Also on what I eat. For example, pork is extremely filling for me but I find as lamb is softer, it takes a bit more to fill me up, but they're both meats! One day eggs are fine then the next I can't eat the same quantity as the day before. Some days it takes more to fill me up and some days less, then on the "more" days I panic I have stretched my pouch. Is this just me?

Hi Maura,
I had sleeve surgery, but have the same symptoms as you. Some days I can eat a lot! Some days a little fills me up quickly. I am trying to figure out what does increases my "appetite". And why some days the restriction better than others.

Hi I'm 17 months out & exactly the same. I find the amount I can eat changes in a pattern with my monthlies! Very odd, but I'm maintaining my target weight so it's all good :) xx

Hi Mayra I am 3 years out and I am exactly the same some days can eat very little other days can't stop it's strange but always maintain my weight its a strange one xx

Bless ya I used to think like that but honestly when I think I eat a lot it's probably no where near what I used to be able to put away! Xx

Thanks guys, because I'm always so, so worried I will fail I get paranoid!

I'm same I'm 6 months out and some days I can only nibble and others I feel I'm eating like I use to I'm so afraid of stretching my pouch via this is my last chance.

Me too 4 months out. Chicken fills me the most, can't get the veg in. Poached egg on ryvita is filling with just one but if I put ham on them I can eat 3 or 4 easy!

This is exactly how I feel! My weight loss has slowed down then stalled sometimes and it depresses me because in my mind it's my fault as it feels I'm "stuffing" myself. I gotta stop thinking like that as I've already been told off by my nutritionist for being impatient lol

Yeah I'm the same. Nearly 3 years out. Sometimes loads and sometimes hardly anything. Same food can have different effects on different days. I don't know why but it seems common post wls.
