    Belgium Surgey cash payment

Yes, I had a cosmetic procedure over there in October. Felt so weird with the whole cash aspect, but it was absolutely fine.

    Conversion to By-Pass following sleeve.

I think it's right that you share the problems you've had. The sleeve mostly has minimal problems (for example, I love mine and its suited me and my lifestyle), but it's right that people researching the possibility know all the pitfalls etc. You say you're currently 48 kilos which to me...

    THE SLEEVE

Hey Heidi Although my start bmi for my sleeve was 32, I had been well over 40 bmi at one stage. When I met with my surgeon, I gave a huge history of my weight issues from my early life onwards. I had three consultations before I decided on my surgeon - all agreed to my operation. One was...

    THE SLEEVE

Oh and initially I had the plain weight watchers tomato soup in a tin. Nutritionally defunct, but was easy on the sleeve.

    THE SLEEVE

Heidi, I have the Danio yogs. I've tried others, but for me the Danio blueberry is my fave. 150g yogurt with 11g of protein.

Has anyone tried these protein shakes? Are they safe to take i.e. Don't cause dumping

Although I'm a sleever, I do still dump a little bit on odd things. But I love the upbeat shakes. Especially when they're reduced to a £1. They definitely don't have a dumping effect on me. Guess it's all trial and error.

    THE SLEEVE

Good luck with everything Heidi. I'm just over 2 years post sleeve. Thinking back to my op, the only thing I can say is that every day after the op is easier than the previous one. I think initially I lived on slim fast pre-made shakes, Weight watchers tomato soup and no added sugar squash...

    Ibuprofen

Mazza, I currently take 20mg of omeprazole daily (acid reflux being a known side effect of the sleeve). After my recent arm surgery, where I was prescribed strong ibrupofen and have also been taking one codeine at night, I was told to double my dose of omeprazole to protect the stomach. So...

    Where did everyone go?

I never used the app, always preferred using a shortcut on my phone too Mazza. But I guess we all get used to a certain way - whatever that maybe. I love seeing what people have achieved and every now and again there's always a whirlwind member that arrives.

    Where did everyone go?

Gonna get hubby to take some before pics this weekend and then I'll hopefully do after ones in a month when the swelling has started to subside. Just been and bought some painkillers. The stories you make up when buying a pack of ibruprofen and codeine. :blahblah: I just asked for a pack of 16...

    Where did everyone go?

I'm still here Oopsy. :hugs: Although if I'm honest I tend to only check new posts maybe once a week. I can remember a discussion on here before about why people don't continue to post and I guess its one of two things. 1. Their procedure has failed and they don't know how to deal with the...

    Sleeve in 3 weeks

I drove for the first time exactly 7 days after the op - but was only a 30 min drive and it was all fine. If you're flying back 8 days after surgery, I'd say you'd probably be ok for a short drive, but you need to take into account that you've flown and will be incredibly tired from a lack of...

    Orlistat tablets

I had them about 16 years or so ago. They were horrible things and yes - even the tiniest puff meant oily knickers! But, they are used successfully by some or I guess they wouldn't prescribe them.

    Vegetarian post sleeve?

I'm predominantly pescatarian so try to have fish each day. But on days I don't, i'll ensure I have plenty of milk, maybe some cottage cheese and a danio high protein yog. I'll usually have a lentil dish with spinach. Butter beans are good too as are chickpeas, edamame / soy beans etc. It can...

Stitches removal with GP after private surgery

Hi, just looking for any feedback from anyone who has needed stitches out with the GP after having private surgery. I didn't have any removable stitches when I had my sleeve, but I'm now having an arm lift done in a few weeks and they'll be non-disolvable stitches. I just wondered whether...
