I originally wanted a sleeve but my surgeon said that had I previously suffered with heartburn he would not recommend it and I accepted that even though the cost was more!!!
Good luck in your journey and if you are lucky enough to get it on the NHS grab it with both hands and look forward not back x
Hi
Like you my BMI was 38 and borderline high BP with joint pain and because there were no other issues I had to pay for the op but I was worried if I didn’t do it then I would have ended up with all the issues and more!
So had Bypass in January 16 and now 10 stone lighter with an almost...
Poor you but I was only allowed shakes and remember that part of my journey well. Just look at the finishing line and the start of your new life that will keep you motivated x
Good Luck with your pre op that is the hardest part. I went for the Bypass and feel this was the right choice for me. What are you having done ?? If you have any questions just ask.
Hi JJ I went private due to my GP saying that because I only had high BP and arthritis I would not be eligible for NHS funding. I did lots of research and it does become obsessive but I needed to know what I was getting myself into. Once I had made the decision I just got on with it . Yes I'm in...
