A while since I updated! I go on holiday tomorrow and am so happy to have reached 11st 5lbs! Only 4 pounds to go to a healthy BMI and I really want to get there before mid July when I go and see my surgeon Mr Pollard.
Hope everyone is good :)
P.s - That's 13 stones and 1 pound that I've lost...
Well we have a very similar starting bmi and I am just now a couple of points away from being 'normal' and I WILL get there!
My consultant at the hospital said when I went for my check up in September, that at 13 stones 9 pounds I wouldn't lose any more weight and I've lost 2 stones since then...
Thank you Sharron, what a lovely thing to say. :D It's definitely achievable. Never did I think 19 months ago, that I would be 11 stones something! Anything around 15 stones would have seemed fabulous to me so to be where I am now is fantastic, if a little unbelievable at times (your brain...
Haven't updated in a while, been so busy. Today I weighed 11 stones and 9 pounds which I'm rather pleased about. So I'm now only 8 or 9 pounds to my target of 11 stones (can't remember whether it's 11st or 11st 1lb which takes me to bmi of 25!) I'm sure as I get closer I may want to change that...
I'd say be a nuisance!! The only reason I found out my letter had got lost was because I kept ringing them.
Keep me up to date, I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you! x
I wrote a big, long response to this last week but obviously it didn't save :(
Quick response cos cannot stay long but basically from my appointment at Salford it took about 2 months (this was mainly because my letter got lost) When I saw Mr Pollard it was just over two weeks from then until my...
I had my bypass in July 2008 at Spire Leeds under Mr Pollard. Lovely place, great care by the fabulous staff. Mr Pollard was wonderful. I had open surgery, have a nice, very faint scar left now and have lost 12 stones and 8 pounds since my surgery.
If you have any questions let me know x
Hello Diary!
Thought I'd better post as I havent done so for a couple of weeks and need to get back on track. Had a bad couple of weeks...had a few crappy things happen and I seem to have gone off track with my eating again, eating crap and a bit too much of it. So, back at 12stone 2pounds and...
Thanks everyone!
12 stones exactley today, there was a fleeting moment when I came up as 11s13lbs but I'm not trusting that so sticking with dead on 12 stones!
Full of a cold today but start my new job tomorrow so had to go out for some work trousers...still reach for the 18's but they were...
I've been doing some extra walking this week so it seems to have given me a bit of a boost and I'm 12st 2lbs today. 3 pounds to go and I will be in the 11's!! Crazy!
Hi
I think, and this is my opinion only, that if you have a considerable amount of weight to lose you will end up with some degree of loose skin. I've lost just over 12 stones and although its not as bad as I thought it may be, I do have quite a bit. Mainly on my upper arms (my bingo wings!)...
Well, 12stone 4lbs on the scales today. Really happy with how its coming off at the moment, am quite impressed that I'm still doing a pound a week. One more pound and that will be half of my starting body weight that I will have lost!
Also, bought an exercise DVD yesterday. Its a clubland one...
I was exactly the same. The two weeks prior to my op I was quite a wreck, crying and arguing with my Mum which was very unlike me. However on the day I was fine, in a strange way I was actually quite excited. I knew that I couldn't do it any other way because I had tried many, many times before...
