How's Bonita??

zetacatty

A loser at last!
Does anyone know how Bonita is? Last I heard she was having her wound checked for infection - but that was 5 days ago. Zxx

Hi Zeta, Terry, Gaynor.

I'm fine suprisingly well considering although a little bit sore. Just waiting for the district nurse to do my dressing then going to escape to my sons for the rest of the day.

I've been wondering whether to do a thread all about what happened but really don't want to put those that are still waiting off, because what happened to me is very rare. I discussed it with Topsy and she seemed to think I should, because its not wise to let people think the option of a bypass is a walk in the park and they should know about the pitfalls and well as the benefits.

What do you think ladies?

Bonita I would start a thread as its better to be informed of the good and the bad and if it happens to someonelse thery know they are not alone.

Glad you are feeling ok and hope you get it sorted soon.

Bonita - I would start a thread. It is so important that people considering this option don't think it's an easy ride!! Some people are very fortunate and things go smoothly. Others of us have varying degrees of difficulty. In the end people have the choice - 'to read or not to read'!!

Hi Bonita! It's lovely to have you back! I think a thread or a blog would be fantastic. Not just because we pre-bypassers need to know everything but so that we can understand what you've been through. Hope you're feeling much much better. Zxx

Hi Bonita I think you should post a thread then we hear everything that could happen. Hope you are feeling better soon take care.

Welcome back Bonita... we've all been worried about you.

Yes, please, do start a thread. I think the more someone knows about this op BEFORE they have it - the better. You can never have too much knowledge.

Hi Bonita,
Congratulations on getting your op over with and lots of get well wishes ..
Bonita, I totally agree with everyone here; I think you definatly let us in on what happened to you and what can possibly happen.

This next bit is a little OT but a simular situation..;)

I have a chronic pain condition and I have what is quite a rare treatment which is an 'Intrathcal Morphine pump Implant' I have had some serious things go wrong with it, putting me in hospital many times including Intensive care and also nearly paralysing me!
What went wrong was rare but can happen.
I talk to people I know who are contemplating having a pump implant and I tell them what could happen but more than likely not and wont happen.
Please tell your story it will do more good than harm, also like another member said people can choose not to read it.
Take care.
Hugs xx
