Oh Ginger I am so sorry....

I just looked up Luton PCT and found something you might be interested in as there are things about the complaints they have received regarding the refusal of bariatric surgery...you have to to to 5.5 I think...I don't know if if will help, but I hope it will....Please don't give up.

reading this, it looks like they made some changes around May 2009

~hugs~

So sorry you have been turned down again....seems so unfair the way different PCT`s work ,can i ask without being to personal what your weight and height is?...i had a bmi of 55 and i am 5`8 when i first went to my doctors and asked about wls.
I know you have listed all the reasons for needing weight loss surgery, but is this all off your own back, would it be in your favour if you have the doctors backing and could they help you fight the appeal?

Oh no! I am SO sorry to hear this. It sounds incredible that they turned you down.
I notice on your post you said you'd had treatment for carpel tunnel syndrome. This is a pointer towards hypothyroidism. Have you had your thyroid checked? It won't help you get wls but thyroid medication might help you feel a bit better. Anything is better than what you are going through right now. Big hug, Zxx

I found out yesterday at my Whittington support group that the London boroughs of Islington, Camden and Barnet are not refusing lternatively, get the local MP and the press involvedany applications for funding. o you know anyone with an address there you could use? Would mean registering with a new GP and lots of tooing frowing but you would get funding. A

Oh Sarah, Im so disappointed for you. Im appalled that with all your medical conditions you cannot get surgery. Have they given you a reason?

I just wondered whether a sleep apnoea test might be worth a shot (sorry if you have tried that already)

DOnt know what else to say hun so will just send hugs (((Sarah))) and keep my fingers crossed that you win the lottery so you can go private. xxx
