Congrats on your surgery!
It could be that your retaining water. They do give you alot of iv fluids when in the hospital. So maybe that could be it. I would say that within a few days you should start to see the weight change. I'm really not to sure though as I did not have this problem with my RNY surgery. I did with my c section though. I wish you luck. And I'm sure some others will share there wisdom with you to
It's my first night home. I feel terribly bloated and uncomfortable. Kinda wish i still had the morphine. I didn't set an alarm for every four hours but my body sure let's me know the four are up and I need more Meds. How long will the pain last?
Oh I was exactly the same way. My pain would wake me up when it was time for more meds. Mine lasted about 7-9 days. It slowly got better. You just had major surgery and it's going to take time for your body to heal up. Do yourself a favor if you can and only step on the scale every 3 or 4 days. Try not to think about it. Just keep drinking your water and protein and trying to walk. All of those things will help you have a speedy recovery! Good luck. I hope this advice helps!
