OT - Guess what Santa's little helper here has been doing today

It is just in September and today I have .................... made my first Christmas presents:eek::eek: :smiley1842:

I have spent the entire day chopping veg and cooking chutney and the whole house smells like a chip-shop :eek: The funny thing is, I do not feel hungry at all - hope that's a good sign :D

Can I be the first one to wish you all a Happy Christmas? :4616:

You sound like my daughter, she's christmas mad. A couple of years ago while I was at work she put the tree up in my bedroom. When I came home and pulled up outside I nearly died. It was august!!!!!
needless to say I made her take it down but she nags from middle of november to put it up every year lolxx

That's the ironic thing, I am not actually a Christmas mad person. I just had an urge to do this and thought that they could make nice gifts and as they need 2-3 months to mature I obviously thought of Christmas. When I was cooking it I actually burst out laughing like a loon because what I was doing seemed so ridiculous.

(Mind you, I have a needlepoint cushion to do for my Mother in Law and I need to get cracking on that to have any hope of getting it finished for Chrimbo)

Err shoot me too. My stepdaughter (aged 10) had her christmas present off me today. Swimming lessons, she needed them so i brought them for her for her christmas present. Am sure she'll end up with another set and probably a little present or two. This year i will be prepared lol xx
 
Im knitting trendy jackets for the girls in family and hats/scarves for friends.I also do knitted corsages.Course Im nitting something special for our Gracie,got some great wool to knit her some Ugg boots!with a matching hat/scarf and coat.God shes only 5 weeks old!

My daughter is known as "happy". She's got an infectious laugh and everyone loves the way she makes people feel.She's so funny and no matter where she is, she's making someone happy. Bless her she keeps me and her dad going lolx

Guess what my husband has started to do some Christmas shopping already. Last year I was diagnosed with depression in October and just could not get into Christmas at all, even though I am normally the biggest kid around at Christmas, so he did it all. Anyway he decided he enjoyed doing it last year so started looking for things for the boys last week. I will probably make the Christmas cakes for everyone during October half term. I used to have to make 5 for various members of the family but now only make 4 as father in law no longer with us. My sister will only eat my cakes no body elses. May I be the second to say Happy Christmas to everyone.
 
Quite right too! I finished the bulk of mine in January and have spent the past couple of weekends getting my stocking fillers!! While I don't put up any decs or celebrate it as I am not Christian - I am from a huge family where the expectancy is pressies!!!! TPT Jnr is trying to persuade me to put some lights up this year to make the home more festive... I enjoy buying for people I love, but would not enjoy it if I left it till last minute!
