My arms are sagging already! They did when i lost a bit of weight once before. But my stomach wasn'nt that bad surprizingly ...although..i was still obese at my lightest. But im under no illusion ...i know if this surgery is a sucess for me...il have excess skin. I don't expect the NHS to fund the removal either. I'l just happy to be in better health than i am now. My doctor told me from the very start...NHS won't pay for removal.
Star, im sure they will in time. 8 stone is a brilliant acievement! You must be able to notice the differance ....like been able to move around a lot better. And do things you once struggled with.

Tell you what though Tracey....bet you prefare your saggy legs...to been back at your heaviest.
Unfortunatly, unless we go private to get it removed. We just have to learn to live with it.

I'm now 4lbs away from 5st
Weigh day today
I've always lost weight quickly ...
I was over 21st on surgery day and ate all day long and drank lots (not alcoholic. But enjoyed a drink) ... I lived abroad for 15yrs with lots of socialising drinking and eating... all my friends and 1 son still live there and I travel over 4/5 times a year ...
Can't wait to go over with out seat belt extension but do worry about coping with the socialising xx
Back to the weight ... as I said I could buy an uncut loaf and eat the whole thing by the end of the day ..also family bags of crisps cheese chips takeaways ....
Since April the 18th I've had no bread no alcohol no chips nothing I shouldn't ...so I suppose I would loose ..I'm expecting a stall soon .. I still want to lose another 5st so wish me luck lol ....
Sorry if I've hijacked someone's post xxxx

Well done on another great loss @Tracey :woohoo:
My arms are already very saggy. I'm very self conscious waving now even in sleeves. I don't think I'd be brave enough to go through the surgery to remove excess skin even if I did have a hope in hell of getting funding. I think she's incredibly brave and that's such a long op too. No matter how many ops I have, I still get scared.

I have seen people on FB groups before now talking about wearing compression wear which seems similar to shapewear but can cover anywhere to make it more comfortable and also look better so that might be something I investigate further. Are any of you ladies also considering having the op once you get to your goal weight?

That seems perfectly fair @starryeyed and your impressive gym regime can only help. You keep making me debate the gym option. What are you doing to me?! I can't afford it right now but walking and my DVDs are starting to feel not quite enough...

@FeeHutch I've barely gone in the morning the past two weeks but I've hurt my ankle a bit so waiting for it to chill out a bit. I wish I could do the dvd option but my dogs would go mental lol. Definitely think for me personally the gym contributed to my weight loss as without it I do my lose anything at all. So annoying x

@FeeHutch ....If i could ever affort to have it done...then definately. We get 'one body' . My main concern would be my arms. Even though it would be for cosmetic reasons...rarther than health reasons at that point. But, i very much doubt il ever be able to afford it. I'm just so grateful if the NHS fund the bypass. :)
