Help! Beenadmitted to hospitalnrefuse to listen to me!

Sorry to hear you had problems at an 'alien' hospital. My thoughts are with you in slightly more familiar surroundings. At least your own specialist will be on your case. I have conversion surgery (band to bypass) in Belgium so will start with all NHS hospitals being 'alien' until I build up local contacts with bariatric specialists. With the NHS I've yet to get beyond my GP.
I have to or amuse Luton, but many others don't understand and they think they know it all . Good luck Hun, let me know how u get on

Not really :(
I've come home on strong anti biotics. Been to see Luton surgeon n he said cos I didn't get transferred in time I've missed the window to take gallbladder out. I'm facing an MRI scan tomo n then I will know where the gallstones are blocking n op will be done on 10th or 17th July ,have to wait six weeks, subject to how much surgery time they require depends on which date I have. Will update when I know

Best of luck. Keep posting how you get on.

Got the date. 10th July

I hate to hear about complications but accept they're risk. While they scare me I'm pleased that they can be treated. The road can be bumpy but the journey is what's most important.

My life has been turned upside down by complications from a drug I was given that caused me to fry inside n nearly kill me three years ago. The nightmare that's followed is caused by that. Long story ... So I'm used to it now. Just want to get back to living without pain caused by others xx

In Tomo for gall bladder removal . Can't wait to get rid of this pain

Good luck with your op it will be sheer relief to get rid of it. my mam and sister both had it. I am thankful so far so good have had some probs but minor really but nothing with that . x

Best of luck.

From what I've read the gall bladder is often removed during RNY surgery.

That's true and also weight loss can cause the gall bladder to fail. Wish they de taken mine out before :(

So far, I've been lucky and despite a fairly rapid weight loss I've had no problem with gall stones. In fact, except for a terrible reaction from drugs I stopped cold turkey after my op (nurse was wrong, wrong, wrong!) I've had no issues at all - no dumping either. Again, I wish you all the best and hope that this will be the end of your issues. Good luck!

The enormous offending gallstone . Like a conker!! They had to concert to open from keyhole to get it out and remove the gallbladder . No wonder I was poorly :( now to get better :)

Surgeon said if I didn't want to keep it at anytime they would like it to show ppl.

Wow that is massive!!! I didn't get to see any of mine :( the surgeon said that there was just lots of little gritty stones in mine, but that the grit had been very mobile through my ducts :(

No wonder you were so so ill with that big bad boy! Hope you have a speedy recover and take it very easy. I found the gallbladder removal tougher to recover from than WLS xx
