Being turned sick by food.

I'll be 3 years post bypass this September. I've noticed recently that almost everything I eat turns me sick. I don't vomit, but I feel nauseous and have to throw my food away.

Any other long term bypassers experienced anything like this? If so, how did you deal with/ overcome it?

Thanks in advance :)

I was getting really really bad bloating.

My issue has been too much fibre - which has irritated my stomach. Is that a possibility in your case?

Unfortunately what springs to mind hon is the possibility of an ulcer or inflammation. Can you go back to liquids for a day or two and see if that helps?

I was thinking of trying that. It'll have to be next weekend though. I need what energy I'm getting from the food for work :-(

My nausea has been getting worse in the last few weeks, I've also been finding it quite hard to get fluids into me in sufficient quantity.

I would also just ring your team maybe to check in. Can you drink fluids okay?

Sorry to hear that Jemima, I had been hopeful that things were taking a more positive turn for you.

Is your weight staying steady?
It could be nothing to do with your op of course.
Maybe take professional advice if it's not settling.......
